Hi all!
Although I have never traveled with anyone with a diagnosis, when I have worked with families there have been a few things families have done to help the travel be more enjoyable for their family.
Start close to home, see what you child is comfortable with.
Have you child help you plan if they can.
Showing pictures or videos of the location you are staying at, if it is helpful for your child to be aware of what they are going to get into.
Follow @lilyandmagnoliatravel, she is a travel advisor that helps families plan trips with their kiddo in mind. She is an autism momma and advocate.
I hope these are helpful tips, and I can't wait to hear all of your knowledge! ❤️
